the “quote of the day” on my excite page says this:

When you cannot make up your mind which of two evenly balanced courses of action you should take – choose the bolder.

does that mean i should drop out of school?

Depends on how you translate bold.
Bold could be leaving – the “ha ha! supprised you – you didn’t think i’d do it”
or the staying and becoming a big voice in your program – the ” ha ha! you didn’t think i’d change the school this much did you?”

sorry about that. πŸ™‚
slightly better job can turn in to much better job. you can do it! they don’t know what they’re missing. tell em “sure you “good” at X, but you could also be good at Y! (Y being what you want to do)
*hugs*

we speak as if i have even enough clout to get to vote for which divied-up reading i get to do in a particular classroom’s schedule. i don’t know why i’m allowing this. it’s all ridiculous. PH is ridiculous. these people are all SO much happier on the days when i stay home!

I do not wish to tiptoe through life only to arrive safely at death.
… or something to that effect.
Dropping out of school may not be the answer either. When given a choice, I try to take both whenever possible. (greeeeeedy!)
… Having no experience raising livestock, I boldly drove all the way to Purcellville and picked up my first goat. Good decision. I like my seven-soon-to-be-more goats. grin.

Funny thing about decisions
is that if we look long enough at the options, we will always find a way to justify something we think we want as the the “road less taken” or in this case the “bold” move…..
(I’m an expert at this as I’m sure Jules will tell you)

wish there was an easy answer, babe.
todd has an excellent point….
maybe you could learn to read runes, or cards, or something. give yourself a new window for Insight into yourself and the Universe. sometimes thats all we need to get to our Truth…
*Hug* wish i could Help you find the Right Path. but all i can do is tell you that you are Loved No Matter What and that i Believe in you 1000%.

Re: wish there was an easy answer, babe.
todd’s a potty-biscuit. i never should have stopped sleeping with him. maybe then he’d be all sweet and tell me what i want to hear.
well, okay, probably not; we argued all the time then too. >sigh<
thank you. for the loving part, not the agreeing with todd part. mrph.

“Bold” possibilities
Hmmmm…ways to be bold:
1. Run nekkid through the snow and sleet
2. Spend the next week dropping a really bizarre word into conversations with peers–perhaps something out of astrophysics or forensic science.
3. Stop expecting yourself to do all your work *brilliantly* and settle for “good enough” more often.
P.S.–My fortune from my really bad Chinese-ish lunch says, “You are a very bright individual.” You can borrow it if you want. πŸ˜‰

what it REALLY means is:
make a fist… insert a pencil, sharpened by gnawing, in said fist. scrawl out options on a receipt for donuts. whichever is bolder, ie darker and slightly larger in ‘font,’ pursue. snarl loudly and victoriously, and wave arms above head.
repeat as necessary.

Re: snarling
Ooooh, I wanna try this! An old therapist once tried to get me to beat on a phone book with a rubber hose, but it just didn’t work for me…

Re: snarling
i prefer smashing glass, when breaking things is in order. it’s a little messy on the clean-up side (which probably teaches good lessons about consequences–AND makes you think first about whether or not each occasion is REALLY a glass-smashing occasion–you save it for the really worthy moments), but it’s SO satisfying to listen to the big KRISH and SHAA and KA-RUNCH…
at least a baseball bat or something you could swing with significance, for crying out loud. a RUBBER HOSE? πŸ™‚

sounds like the most FUN suggestion i’ve had so far, at any rate! ::inspects pencils to decide which looks most gnaw-able…::

But if you drop out you won’t hang my poetry on your wall and then I’d be sad and you don’t want to make a 280 pound junkyard dog sad so I’d just stay in school and reinterpret this cookie if I were you:p
Maybe it just means learning to Ski, or learnig to Skate?

learning to break bones in creative ways, hmm? i’ll think about it. i have a feeling getting to school in this weather would be a LOT harder having broken a leg trying to PLAY in it, though. ::hides in house by fire::

It must be scary to be you lol. I’ll cross my fingers and wish you a quick delivery from the horridness of Northern Wastelands that you might live the rest of your days in perfect arid sunshine.

aright, then! nobody said anything about craving aridity. it’s already so dry here that we’re running two humidifiers in the house just to keep from cracking apart!
