rampant–and rapid–consumerism

6 09 2004

looking online for hurricane reports & maps (mostly because i’d been debating the location & trajectory of ivan w/burny_md w/o having a clue where it was or was going, so i decided to do a little research before i said anything else; i, of course, would never worry about the mighty ranagar) yields a variety of them. some are much more informative than others. and also there’s this.

the array of choices involved in selecting something so simple as a white t-shirt are simply staggering. and i wonder (not) why i’ve heard my neighbor, in a fit of conscientiousness, cry out “we’re such consumers!” four times in the last two days.
