(and there’s nothing I can’t say, although I tend to restrict most work stuff to lj, cause I have work friend on fb, and not lj. But it is usually if I’m just talking about quitting a current job that I haven’t told them about yet. Hopefully shouldn’t happen again. 😉
unfriending him would be “making a big deal out of it,” which is the opposite of “hoping it goes away on its own.” he’d ask me on IM why I’d done that, and then I’d have to have an answer. 🙂 (and before you ask why he has my screen name–ALL my students have a screen name of mine–it’s just not the one you have, so i can sign in as a teacher or not. but i don’t change it every semester, so old students and new students can both use it to pop in & ask me questions.)

I think JimG may be making passive aggressive maneuvers towards me. Can’t really tell. Will give him the benefit of the doubt for now. Sigh.

are you kidding? that’s a classic in the true meaning of the word, and the intro is an integral part of the awesome!
if you’d been quizzed before re-watching that, would you have checked “yes” for “did metal bands do coordinated, matching-peach-suit-with-white-sneakers boy-band dance numbers in their rock videos?”? it’s like i remembered it, but i didn’t really remember what it was like to be there.
i’ll bet there are people are your flist who think those kids dressed up like that, with that crazy-ass amazing hair, are faked for the video, because they don’t remember elementary school in 1984. hell, you were out of the country–i don’t know if you remember elementary school in 1984. it really looked like that. you could have done the butterfly through the hairspray in the air…
